An immersive film installation by dir. Gonzalo Hergueta & Pau Dalmases, Studio 405 brings audiences inside the studio of acclaimed painter Cristina Banban from PERROTIN and Skarstedt galleries.
From the first sketch to the final canvas, the work captures the intimate transformation of raw ideas into monumental artworks. Presented on dual screens with an infinite runtime, each visit reveals something new — inviting audiences to return, discover, and feel the living pulse of creation itself.
This is not a conventional film, but a living portrait of creativity — cyclical, unpredictable, infinite. Over ten hours of footage have been distilled into 50 micro-scenes — moments of inspiration, hesitation, and breakthrough.
A custom-built generative software reorders these scenes across two screens, constantly creating new pairings and juxtapositions. The result is an installation that generates endless ombinations, with no repetition, no overlap, and no fixed ending.
